2. Information we collect
- Identity & contact: name, email, phone, city, LinkedIn / GitHub / portfolio links.
- Professional details: skills, experience, availability, rate.
- KYC: ID proof type & number (Aadhaar, PAN, etc.), uploaded ID document, PAN.
- Payout: bank account, IFSC, UPI ID — only if you choose to share them.
- Messages you send via forms.
3. How we use it
- To evaluate your application to the Freelance Collective or service enquiry.
- To communicate about projects, contracts and payouts.
- To comply with Indian tax and KYC requirements.
- To improve our services and prevent fraud.
4. Payment information
Bank, UPI and PAN data are used only for releasing payouts to freelancers. They are stored securely in our backend and are never sold or shared with third parties for marketing.
5. Data storage & security
Your data is stored on encrypted, access-controlled cloud infrastructure. Uploaded ID proofs are stored in a private bucket accessible only to authorised reviewers. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it.
6. Sharing
We do not sell your data. We may share limited information with: (a) clients for whom you are staffed (subject to NDA), (b) statutory authorities when required by law, (c) trusted service providers (cloud hosting, email).
7. Retention
Application data is retained while your engagement is active and for up to 24 months after, unless you request earlier deletion.
8. Your rights
You can request access, correction or deletion of your data at any time by emailing macbytesinfotech@gmail.com.
9. Cookies
We use only essential cookies / local storage (e.g. to remember the welcome popup). No third-party advertising trackers.
